We did Chaji, a formal tea party as our self-study.
Shunka-en BONSAI Museum has all facilities necessary for Chaji.
The host decorates the tea room with a hanging scroll, and entertains the guest with Tenshin: Japanese light meal at first, strong full-flavored tea next, weak tea at last.
We had strong tea prepared in one bowl for several guests by passing it from the main guest to the other guests. Is it strange? But this is the method to take strong tea. It is said that Samurai used to conduct Chaji to deepen the bonds between members.
Would you try Chaji or strong tea with your partner or family?
How about holding a formal tea party to exchange people on educational and business fields?
*By the way, we usually clean off the rip of tea bowl using paper or cloth one by one.
